Trumps Past

He has already filed for bankruptcy a few times, the first time being in the 1989 recession when he wasn’t able to pay his loan for the Taj Mahal Resort. Trump was saved by some investors who did not want to lose more money in court by restructuring his debt.
In 1992, Trump was also forced to file Chapter 11 Bankruptcy for the Trump Plaza Hotel. He also lost the Trump Shuttle in 1994. His last experience in filing Bankruptcy just happened this year when he filed again for Chapter 11 bankruptcy for the Trump entertainment resorts for failing to pay $40 million loan.
