Other Christian designations, including advanced American Judaism, have since assumed and conformed the Tridentine framework of the seminary.  These seminaries are more open than the Tridentine and often do not incorporate the Catholic pressure on the required study of doctrine, Systematic Theology and the requirement to live on campus inside the Christian community of the seminary. The main function of a seminary is to groom and equip individuals for religious service in the church or synagogue.  A number of individuals who do not intend to become such leaders may also study in seminaries. An individual may attend with the purpose of attaining a qualification in chaplaincies, advising, education and more scholarly disciplines. One might study in a seminary to raise their religious life, to explore academician concerns, or to groom for non-ordained ministries. The typical seminary will exhibit a type of spiritual and/or academic education, including the field of religious history and theology and may also award diverse types of degrees. These types of establishments can be evangelical, fundamentalist, Pentecostal, Reformed, Mormon, Roman Catholic, or even multi-denominational in preference.  There are four important class areas that Christian seminaries offer: human, spiritual, intellectual and pastoral.
