How to classify Beer

Beer is classified into two ways; Ale and Lager. It is all based on method of making beer. While brewing the beer; heating up at what level and development of yeast are major factors to distinguish the types. While comparing ale and lager, you can find this major difference. As lager is brewed on low temperature with slow acting yeast which leaves behind sugar whereas ale is brewed on high temperature with fast acting yeast has fast fermentation method to remove sugar. However, it is difficult to find the difference after completion. Some other types of beer are limbic and stout.
