Damage From a Collapsed Awning

We have an awning on the back of our house that collapsed under the weight on the snow. My husband had attempted to clear it off, but the awning could not hold his weight and the weight of the snow. Now we are concerned that it damaged our electric meter and heat pump. I need to ask an electrician what I should be looking for to see if the meter was damaged. The claims adjuster is coming out tomorrow and I may ask her also.
