A Christmas Away From Home

I called my daughter, a military wife, it would be her first Christmas away from home and I wanted to make sure she knew no matter what we were still together even if it was by heart. She told me she had all her gifts ready to be wrapped for her children and husband and was busy decorating the tree. I asked her what the her color scheme was this year and she said red, white, and blue for an all American Christmas and that she was using battery operated Christmas lights as well. I was so happy her first Christmas away from family.
