I needed more pay, so I went to work in web marketing.

I’ve worked for a few different design agencies over the years, and I have to say that this web marketing agency I’m working for now is the best paying job I’ve had. I have a background in brochure design and a degree in the advertising area. I didn’t really expect to end up working for a web marketing agency, but that’s how things worked out for me, and I’m very happy with the place so far.

If I move on to a different employment opportunity in the future, I’ll probably still want to get back to the brochure design arena. The design agencies I worked for previously were wonderful companies, and I enjoyed being employed by them. This Web marketing agency is also a good company, but I’m still not totally comfortable with the work, and I wonder if I’ll ever really master it. I really like the people here, and the atmosphere here is great, so that makes up for my discomfort with the actual work.

One of the design agencies I used to work for has been contacting me with offers of raising my pay to get me to come back, but I’m going to have to turn them down. As much as I loved brochure design, I’m not going to skip out on this company that quickly. I want to sink my teeth in, and really master this new job before I start looking at future horizons.
