The Nostalgia Of 60s Songs

There seems to be a persistent sense of nostalgia when one looks back on music from the 1960s. Maybe it’s because many consider it to be the most creative and innovative period in the history of contemporary music. What is certain is that there is no shortage of modern day musicians who are influenced in some way or another by 60s songs. Many say that the real beauty of these songs lie in the fact that one can ‘feel’ the social movements such as flower power and counterculture through the music. It’s these types of social movements that we crave for and are sorely lacking today
